Memorial Day Weekend has come and gone, leaving you to decide which hangover remedy to try. The judges are in agreement: skip the hair of the dog, which will only exacerbate your symptoms. So what liquids should you drink? We’ve rounded up some tried-and-true hangover cures from around the web to help ease you back into the work week:
According to Self, dehydration leads to the most irritating hangover symptoms. To fight these symptoms off, it’s vital to keep your H2O consumption up. For stomach relief, sip on some mild and soothing peppermint tea. Or if sweet isn’t your thing, Shape recommends pickle juice to help retain water. In addition, replenishing your electrolyte levels will help your system recover from a hangover faster. Coconut water is the best place to find electrolytes, and Fitness names Powerade, Gatorade, and other sports drinks as alternative sources.
